Five No. 1s For Luke Bryan, Twice Over

Country superstar Luke Bryan creates a new record on Billboard's Country Airplay chart for 12 November, which covers data for the week ending 30 October. His current Capitol Nashville single 'Move' climbs 2-1 to become his fifth airplay chart-topper from the Kill The Lights album. That's impressive enough in itself — but it's the second time he's notched five No. 1s from the same album, and that's never happened before.

luke-bryanThe Kill The Lights sequence began in August 2015, when 'Kick the Dust Up' topped the airplay survey. 'Strip It Down' followed it there in October 2015, then came 'Home Alone Tonight,' featuring Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, in February this year and 'Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day' in July.

CrashMyPartyCDThe artist previously achieved the feat with five singles from his 2013 album Crash My Party: the title track, 'Drink A Beer,' 'Play It Again,' 'Roller Coaster' and 'I See You.' Aside from Bryan's catalogue, only two other albums have ever produced five No. 1s on the airplay chart, which Billboard launched in 1990. They are Blake Shelton's Based on a True Story..., (2013) and Brad Paisley's 5th Gear (2007).
