Heart Show Love For Royal Albert Hall

When Ann and Nancy Wilson took to the stage of London’s Royal Albert Hall, in June 2016, they were ready to put on the show of a lifetime. Heart’s British fans had long awaited their return to the UK, and the band were not going to disappoint. “It might get loud!” the Wilson sisters said in advance of the gig… And it did. Now due for release on DVD, Blu-ray and CD on 25 November 2016, Live At The Royal Albert Hall With The Philharmonic Orchestra captures this one-off show in all its glory.

With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in tow, Heart reimagined their back catalogue, working up a unique setlist that saw them air classic singles such as ‘Magic Man’, ‘Barracuda’ and ‘Crazy On You’, along with the title track from their acclaimed new album, Beautiful Broken, all given brand new string arrangements worthy of the show – and the band’s – gravitas.

Performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall was a landmark event for the band, who, after a four-year silence, had recently made their long-awaited return to the studio with Beautiful Broken. Featuring guest vocals from Metallica frontman James Hetfield, plus new material and reworked classics from across Heart’s entire career, the album marked a significant return for the Wilson sisters, and, like the Royal Albert Hall show, gave them the opportunity to revisit songs which, in their words, “may have fallen through the cracks”.
